Large shipwreck artifact from Wellfleet, MA. Section of mid-ship/bow of the schooner Quannapowitt, wrecked off Wellfleet in November 1913. Large artifact includes original frame for deck rail and skupper and includes one remaining original cast iron skupper within frame. Embedded wooden line shive probably for foremast or anchor. Many pieces of this wreck were washed ashore at the time, including the quarterboard (acquired along with this piece but not for sale) and the main boom that was soon repurposed to serve as the lower spar of the Wellfleet Town all flagpole. 5’3” x 12: x 15”; approx 125 lbs.
