A rare yellow ware pitcher made by Wedgewood to celebrate the Centennial of the United States.  Stars are embossed around the rim and States of the Union are embossed on the ribbed band.  There is a brown transfer on each side – Independence Hall to represent 1776, Centennial Hall to represent 1876, both in Philadelphia.  Finally,  the dates 1776 and 1876 are embossed on the handle and outlined in brown slip.

The pitcher measures 7 ¼” in Height and 3 5/8” in Diameter at the top.  There is one small, outer rim chip  which I believe to be “in the making” of the pitcher.  This pitcher is featured in Lisa McAllister’s  “Collector’s Guide to Yellow Ware” – Book #1 on page 111, and the photo on the L has an identical rim chip.

The pitcher will be mailed via USPS Priority mail and fully insured for the purchase price.  Please contact me for shipping cost to your zip code.  I can be reached at laura.a.mccarthy@comcast.net or 781-789-8385.

I accept both PayPal and checks.  MA residents pay sales tax on Friday, Saturday and Sunday are a MA tax free weekend.
