Silver Shell Cameo Pin or Pendant

Offered for sale is a beautiful carved shell cameo set in silver in excellent condition. The image is of a woman in profile with flowers in her hair and wearing a strand of pearls.

The piece measures 1-7/16” wide x 1-7/8” tall. It is unmarked but acid tests as silver. It has an early roll-over clasp and a tube hinge, the combination dates it to the early 20th century, 1910-1920.

There is a bail for hanging as a pendant which folds down out of sight when worn as a pin.
