Sterling Silver Mesh Purse

Offered for sale is a beautiful sterling silver mesh purse made by Gideon Bek, Inc. in excellent condition.

The classic design features sterling frame, mesh and 3 tassels at the bottom. It is marked inside the frame with “Sterling” and the butterfly stamp for Gideon Bek, Inc. The clasp closes securely. It measures 3″ wide x 8-3/4″ long from the top of the clasp to the tassel.

Gideon Bek, Inc. was known for his high-end sterling and gold mesh purses sold in the U.S. by Binder Bros. of New York. During WWI, Gideon Bek, Inc.’s stock in the U.S. was seized and after the war was purchased by Binders Bros.
